The iPhone app is perfect and amazing. Why is the Mac app nowhere near as good? The old version would play audio messages out of order so I could only listen on my phone. The new version only plays one at a time and I have to individually click them all. I don’t get why it’s so hard to make a mac app that could be 1000 times better if there was just no Mac app and I just installed the iPhone version on my computer. In fact, I think I might do that.

They keep fixing bugs, which is great, but the Mac app needs more than that. For example, when restarting the computer, logins do not persist. This is a personal Mac, so I'd like it to stay logged in. Also, even when phone and Mac are on the same Wi-Fi, it doesn't always sync your whole chat history. If it syncs over our personal Wi-Fi, that's no stress on Tencent's servers. The Mac app is great though, in that it makes the different features easier to use and having sync to PC is great. Finally, I'm grateful that there's an easy solution to chat with Chinese people. It helps me to improve my Chinese and I love my friends.

Recently, I stumbled across this app as I need to travel to China. To my amazement, there was no effective AI support or human existence on support. WeChat has complete monopoly in China, so I have to use this App as an international person. It would not allow me to change my mobile number, nor it allowed me to sign-in in to a new iPhone. They use so called ‘Protecting your account’ as the excuse to sway from support. I sent my request to their support and only got automated and general response. This is so contrary to what you would heard from the media that China is doing overhang to attract foreigners. Totally shocked about their lack of support. They should revamp their support to model from Apple Support where I could count on them to resolve issues.
